This is a picture of him in 2010
Anyway, a little back story; My family and I were out on a Saturday of fun and we went to the library. I was in the movie section and I came across Revolutionary Road starring Leo and Kate Winslet, his Titanic costar. This is her:
So I find Revolutionary Road and I'm like oh it's a Leo movie! Next I find Shutter Island, which my mom wanted to see so I picked that one up. I went to the other side and lastly found Blood Diamond. At this point, I got an idea that I could do a Leo marathon because on the way to the library I was looking at www.imdb.com and browsing through Leo's movies because I already had most of them and was just seeing what ones I needed. I ended up getting those last 3 with the intention that I would watch them in the order they were released in theaters... and that is EXACTLY what I did! (I only watched the movies he put out from 2002 onward up until Inception. I never saw J. Edgar, so keep that in mind, please.)
For those not as familiar with Leo's 00's career as me here's pictures of the movies in the order they were released in theaters.
Gangs of New York (2002)
He played Amsterdam Vallon, an Irish immigrant who wants to get revenge on Bill the Butcher (Daniel-Day-Lewis) for killing his father. Cameron Diaz's just the love interest. Good movie but I didn't like the Irish accents and the fact that movie dragged on towards the end. Good, but not great. Solid acting from everybody in the cast. 6.5/10

Catch Me if You Can (2002)
Leo plays Frank Abagnale Jr., a conman who impersonated a Pan-Am pilot, a doctor, and a lawyer. This was his first bio-pic and in my opinion the best one. Tom Hanks plays Carl Hanratty, an F.B.I. agent hired to stop Frank and put him behind bars. Hanks is amazing in this role! Leo and Tom give such excellent performances that even if the script had sucked (which it didn't thankfully) their acting would have still made it decent. This is personally one of my favorite movies of all time! It gave Amy Adams her start and it was one of Christopher Walken's last movies and he gives an excellent performance as Frank Sr. Great acting, terrific directing, excellent story. 9/10
*Here's a couple scenes that show off the acting by Leo and Tom:
This was his 2002 career. 2 very different movies made by the very versatile Leonardo DiCaprio.
